Carn na Drochaide and Sgor Mor

Decent forecast, opportunity to head to Linn of Dee for some hills

Took the road up to Linn of Quoich first, to have a stroll over Carn na Drochaide (Hill of the Bridge).  Dead easy hill.

Unfortunately the bridge is no longer existing!

Start of the ascent up the track - very pleasant afternoon stroll.

Carn Elrig Beag looking to Carn na Drochaide

And looking back to other hills.

Carn ne Criche.  This really was a gentle stroll.

And looking north to the Cairngorm (Beinn a'Bhuird and Ben Avon)

Summit.  Lovely day.

And looking back down to Linn of Quioch and the River Dee.  Braemar on the left.

After all that pleasant hill walking, a quick detour to see the Earl of Mar's Punchbowl, now rather holy.

Back down to Linn of Dee, and a short cycle along the north bank of the River Dee to find a perfect camping spot for the night.

Next morning it was time to head up Sgur Mor.

Splendid morning.

Inaptly named White Bridge.

Looking up Glen Dee to The Devil's Point

Even more Cairngorm munros (Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain to the left, The Devil's Point, Cairn Toul and Sgor an Lochain Uaine in the middle
and Carn a'Mhaim, Ben Macdui and Derry Cairngorm to the right of them, with Sgur Mor on the far right.

Summit in sight.

More punchbowls!

Looking East to where I was yesterday.

All those Cairngorm hills from the top.  Great day for it.

From further along the ridge the view was equally impressive.

Summit of Sgor Dubh.  Time to head back down/home.
