Geal-charn Mor

A wee walk up a hill near Aviemore, with some pics from Megan

Ascent from Lynwilg, up the "Burma Road", a public right of way from Aviemore Carrbridge. The name comes from its construction by prisoners of war in the 1940s. - easy going if a bit steep.
Views to Cairngorm.

And the road keeps climbing.

And the top.  Cold!

And very flat and broad.  Not too exciting.

Some old guy at the top.

On the way back down.  There were loads of hares but they all ran away before I could take their picutre.

Last look at the hill - not the most impressive but nearly 8 miles of fresh air and good company.

Oh look, the Cairngorm over Loch Alvie.
