Meallach Mhor

Nice way to start the year

Decent forecast on a Thursday - hit the hills.  Heading up Glen Tromie from Drumguish, with a decent view of   Carn Sgulian and A'Chailleach

After a 5.8 mile cycle it was time to hit the hill.  Just past Bhran Cottage.

Meallach Bheag and Mhor - route up the middle and then right.

The other side of the valley Meall Chuiach and some others

It was a lovely morning.

Looking back down, as I headed up to the bealach between Bheag and Mhor.

Looking South to Mullach Coire nan Dearcag which is not even a Corbett - shame.

Lovely.  Looking  South West to theDrumochter hills.

From the beleach, my first view of the Cairngorms to the east.

The Devil's Point and Cairn Toul I think

Stunning  - I think that's the Monadh Liath

Looking down the Gaik Pass over Loch an T-Seilich

The full vista - starting looking South down the Gaik Pass, out to the west the Monadh Liath, round to the Cairngorm and more.  Excellent.

Monadh Liath

Cairngorms

Jumble of rocks at the top.  Looks like someone dismantled the cairn.

A memorial cairn on the way down.

Had to do the tourist bit and take a pic of the Ruthven Barracks on the way past.
What a great day out - looking forward to some more of these as the daylight increases again.
