Meall na Teanga and Sron a Choire Ghairbh

Fantastic views, great walk, and all that

9.43 a.m.  Sharon and the kids leave me at the top of Loch Lochy to get in with it.

Just a couple of miles along here before heading up to the right.

Looking back down to Loch Lochy from the track.

And the way up, next stop the top of Cam Bhealach.

It's a long way right enough.

First view of Meall na Teanga jutting over the shoulder of Meall Dubh from the top of the Cam Bhealach

Looking West from the Cam - loads of hills.

Look, Sron a Choire Ghairbh, the next conquest, from the shoulder of Meall na Teanga.  You can just about make out the stalker's path zig zagging up on the right?

The ridge from Sron a Choire Ghairbh to Loch Lochy.  That is the way back to the car.

At last, the top of Meall na Teanga.

Loch Lochy from the top of Meall na Teanga

And there is Meall na Teanga, as we now ascend the stalkers path on Sron a Choire Ghairbh.

Top of Sron a Choire Ghairbh, looking to Loch Ness.

The homebound ridge, over Sean Mheall and Meall nan Dearcag.

Meall na Teanga, Meall Coire Lochain and Meall Odhar, quite a sight.

And the view North East to Loch Ness.

And another vista, looking straight down the ridge, with Loch Lochy to the right, and Ben Tee in the middle left.

Meall na Teanga again.

Loch Lochy from high on the ridge.

Looking back up the ridge to Sron a Choire Ghairbh, with Meall na Teanga rising above Meall Dubh on the left.

On the way down.  Loch Ness to the top, and Loch Lochy to the right.

A waterfall.  Kilfinan Falls - vastly overrated, hard to get near, and really difficult to get back to the road from.  I would avoid this if I were you!

A toadstool!
