Chalet Marmottes, Chantemerle, Serre Chevalier

Great week's skiing, with good company and some eating and drinking thrown in.  Some Sharon and Kate pictures here too.

First step, get the gear.  Handy store to save having to walk home with all the equipment each night.

Numbers, to make sure I picked up the right boots.

Job done, time for a beer.

Most of the chalet crew.  A little port to get us in the mood.  Luke, me, Steve, Joyce, Brian and Catherine

And Tim.  Don't think we were meant to eat all the cheese on night one!

Breakfast, perhaps!

Happy skiing.

Top of Serre Chevalier itself

Rocher Blank, and the empty ski fields

"Mid-station" - Serre Ratier.  Time for a rest.

Another view from Serre Chevalier across the valley to Italy.

With Phillipe who showed us around the slopes on our first day.  "Welcome to my office".

Quite taken with the views

One of the others on our guided tour was the bass player in Jellybread - rubbing shoulders with the stars!

More refreshement required

Bottom of the Luc Alphand black run back to the village.

Another day, another beer.  Must have been serious skiing that day if we are on the half pints!

Our chalet.

On the Wednesday the chalet boys had the night off, so we hit the town

First stop - the chalet owner's wine bar

And finally, some Genepi.

Back on the slopes the next day.  This is the top of the Mea tow.

Cucumelle lift - with no foot bar!

Top of the Vallons lift - the highest I got at 2505m

Morning coffee.  Very civilised.

And afternoon beers.

And no more skiing pics.

Just time to hit the pub for the rugby.

And our ode to the chalet chaps.  Thanks Will and Murray
